Our Father

See what great love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him (1 John 3:1)

It is excited to know that many in our lunch group talked about their great relationship with their fathers while some of us have never known what is like to have a father because they died in the wars, on the line of duty, or through sickness when we were young; and some of us only remember that our fathers came to visit us occasionally; and still many of us had lived in constant fear of the abusive fathers.

None of our earthly fathers are perfect, although some are respectable and kind, but they do not live long enough to take care of us, while some fathers fail their duty as the head of the family to take care of the need and provide protection and to lead us to walk the right path of living. Regardless of how imperfect or not having fathers to nurture us in world we still have a much greater Father who is in the Haven, Jesus Christ. Our greatest Father Jesus Christ, the Lord of the lords and God of gods who bore our sin and died for our eternal judgment even before our birth.

Now we are grown and have children, let us nurture our children according to the way that the Bible teaches when we are still living, so that our children can live a happy godly life, and in turn they can model for their children.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
